Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge seem to be recently affected with an inherent software bug that is reportedly leading to these devices randomly missing notification toggles including quick toggles for mobile data, hotspot and private mode. Thankfully Samsung has already released an official fix for the bug, which users can implement on their devices right now. There’s a new application that Samsung has just released to the Galaxy App Store, called QuickPanel Restore. Once the app is downloaded and launched, things are pretty straightforward from there. The most common reports were that mobile data, hotspot sharing, and private mode would disappear with no apparent rhyme or reason. As complaints initially flooded in, Samsung’s only advice was to factory reset the device, which would restore the toggles, but not forever. It’s always better if there is an official fix. Now Samsung has published a remarkably similar app to GALAXY Apps called QuickPanel Restore.
Samsung still hasn’t mentioned why the quick toggles went missing in the first place, but if you found that some quick setting toggles went mysteriously missing from your device recently, you can head to the Galaxy Apps store now and search for QuickPanel Restore. The official Samsung app comes with a very straightforward interface that consists out of a single ‘Restore’ button on a light blue background. Simply press the big Restore button, and you should be good to go. Once you’re done, you can uninstall the app and go about your day.
Many users found that they were missing at least one or a combination of toggles without any reason, some believed that this was merely a built-in software feature that removed toggles which had not been used for 30 days. Samsung didn’t reveal the reason behind this, it quietly released the app.
